Trent discovered his vocal ability at 10 years old while performing with a community church choir. At 14, he began a musical journey at Glenbrook South High school, where he sang with top choirs and after school A Cappella ensembles. With a Music Business B.A. from Northern Illinois University, Snyder has continued his work as an arranger and clinician for a variety of A Cappella groups in the Chicagoland area.
Described as a classical-crossover singer with a sweet, mild lyric baritone, Snyder’s accomplishments include founding and directing the NIU Huskie Hunks. The Huskie Hunks placed 2nd in two consecutive International Championship of Collegiate A cappella competitions and in 2015, he received the "Best Choreography" award.
Trent has remained active in professional music performance and continues to develop his understanding of the music industry by acquiring additional roles. He works with Varsity Vocals as a production coordinator, serves as a Production Assistant for DMT Entertainment & Events, and worked as a Booking Manager and host for the Rock House Entertainment Company.
He aspires further develop a career singing A Cappella on stage, record his most recent arrangements, conduct workshops for high school and collegiate music ensembles, and continue producing for Varsity Vocals.
“When I am singing, I feel as though I am telling a story. To be able to convey those emotions, give life to a character or piece, I become part of something bigger than myself. A Cappella becomes a challenge because you can do everything from imitating an instrument to finding innovative ways to make the arrangement fit the voice alone.”
“I feel the truest to myself pursuing A Cappella singing and everything that surrounds it. Every time I get to perform and work toward a show, I gain the opportunity to build on a career doing something I love as well as share that love with others. I intend to do that no matter what.”
